COURSE OVERVIEW

Every employer in Connecticut is required to have a zero-tolerance policy toward sexual harassment. In Connecticut, every complaint or known instance of sexual harassment in the state is taken seriously, investigated, and when warranted perpetrators will face disciplinary action up to and including termination. This second course in this four-part series teaches managers and supervisors in Connecticut about workplace diversity and how it relates to discrimination and harassment. This part begins with a detailed explanation of workplace diversity. It continues to demonstrate the value of diversity while teaching managers and supervisors how to discover, understand, and correct personal biases in the workplace. This course details laws such as Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The course also shares best practices for interviewing, hiring, and termination. All four-parts must be completed to satisfy the requirements in the Times Up Act in Connecticut, so be sure to continue with part three..
