COURSE OVERVIEW


Slips, trips and falls cause 17% of disabling occupational injuries and 15% of on-the-job fatalities. This training focuses on preventing slips and falls in the workplace. This course show employees how to prevent slips, trips and falls by showing them how to stand correctly and explaining the importance of the center of gravity. Knowing how to distribute one's weight while carrying heavy loads or climbing ladders and reaching for goods up high, is a big part of preventing injuries from slips and falls. This course shows how to maintain clear and clean walking and working surfaces as a preventive measure. The video also demonstrates the use of proper footwear, and how to fall properly if you catch yourself succumbing to a slip, trip or fall. Finally, employees are given some first aid tips to assist a co-worker who has fallen. Use this course to help employees prevent slips, trips and falls and reduce their change of injury if they do fall..
