COURSE OVERVIEW


This course discusses the four types of universal waste as defined by the EPA: burnt out light bulbs (including fluorescent light bulbs or CFLs), dead batteries, pesticides, and used mercury containing devices (thermostats, barometers, etc.). Employees learn the methods and practices for handling universal waste, while developing an understanding of the effects universal waste can have on the environment and on our health.
