COURSE OVERVIEW

Municipal facilities use oils and lubricants on a daily basis, so employees must take on the responsibility of using and handling petroleum products safely to avoid causing harm to people, property and the environment. There are many factors that go into oil spill prevention. This is why an SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plan) exists, and why SPCC training is required by law. This training explains what SPCC is, and what differences or similarities all municipal facilities deal with in these plans. The main sections of this course break down what an SPCC is, the roles of the operation facility, spill prevention, and even how to transfer oil per the standard operation features at a facility. This course is important for all municipal workers who use, store, handle or transfer oils. Use this training to prepare employees to follow SPCC regulations..
