COURSE OVERVIEW


To address the large volume of municipal and industrial solid waste generated, the Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, developed rules and guidelines in the Resource Conservation Recovery Act of 1976, commonly known as RCRA. These regulations give the EPA the authority to control hazardous waste and its generation, transportation, treatment, storage, and disposal. This course explores the key facets of these regulations you must know in order to interact with hazardous waste safely.
