COURSE OVERVIEW


This online training explains the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and how to incorporate NIMS concepts into your emergency operations, plans and training. Topics in this course include establishing command, Unified Command, the makeup of the Incident Commander's staff, use of pre-designated incident facilities, resource management, communications, public information activities, mutual aid, incident-related intelligence, establishing Area Command and Multi-Agency Coordination Systems. Adapting NIMS concepts to your emergency planning or planning for important events may qualify you for federal preparedness funding..
