COURSE OVERVIEW

According to the FBI, most incidents of domestic terrorism involve explosives called IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices). Over 60% of American military deaths in Iraq occurred due to Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs). These devices have advanced over the years; therefore, it is crucial for emergency responders to know how IEDs are made, how to safely control locations containing explosives, and how to stabilize the chaos in cases of detonation. Use this course to stress the importance of saving lives by safely recognizing and analyzing IED scenes and stabilizing the surrounding areas..
