COURSE OVERVIEW

This online training on air monitoring, the second in a two-part series, covers direct reading instruments for assessing airborne contaminants in a hazardous materials incident. Airborne contaminants such as radiation, combustible gases, toxins, oxygen deficient/ enriched atmospheres may be present in a hazardous materials incident, and emergency responders need to be aware of contaminants to handle the incident. The course includes a detailed look at direct reading instruments and teaches workers how they work, how to interpret readings and avoid common problems.
