COURSE OVERVIEW

Encountering a bee, wasp or spider is a common occurrence almost impossible to avoid when working outside. This training program helps to better prepare the viewer for these encounters by explaining protection methods, prevention techniques and what to do if stung or bitten. Viewers learn about several species of bees, the difference between a swarm and a colony, characteristics of wasps, and how to identify two of the most common venomous spiders. Proper first aid methods are demonstrated to prepare viewers to handle a situation where they, or someone else, have been afflicted by a sting or bite.
